About QuizTorch
QuizTorch is a free quiz game for people who like learning something small and useful in a few spare minutes. You don’t need an account, and there’s nothing to install.
How it works
Choose one of our 8 topics and answer 10 questions, with 20 seconds for each. Correct answers earn coins, and quick answers earn a little extra. After every question you’ll get a short fact, so you learn something even when you get it wrong.
Our questions
We currently have 120 questions, and all of them come with an explanation. You can read every one in our Fact Library without playing. We stick to facts that can be checked and try to avoid ones that go out of date quickly. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we’ll correct it.
Coins are just for fun
Coins let you enter quizzes and use the 50:50 lifeline, and that’s all they do. They have no cash value and can’t be exchanged for money, goods or prizes.
How we pay for the site
QuizTorch is free because it shows ads from Google. Some ads are optional: you can choose to watch one for extra coins, and each of those buttons says clearly that it plays an ad. You can read more about this in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Who runs it
QuizTorch is run by [operator name: set in config.php]. You can reach us through our contact page.
